What Is a Gaming League?

Home   /   What Is a Gaming League?

The IGL Student and Amateur’s Gaming Leagues  strive towards providing players with a fun, competitive, and rewarding eSports experience, similar to any other traditional  sport.  A gaming league builds on the sense of community, gives a sense of belonging, and establishes safe venues to bring together gamers and anyone else that considers themselves as a part of the gaming community. The ways to compete include on PCs, and consoles, which creates a forum at our different events for player to unite with other teammates, and other competitors within their area.Through the partnership of IGL and Eezer, we will be bringing the Gaming Leagues across the state to join communities of students and competitors which will guide them in Louisiana’s first organized Competitive Video Gaming League.

The long term plan for our leagues after this year’s NOLA Gaming Fest will mark the beginning of bringing our Competitive Video Gaming Leagues to the rest of the nation. We are planning events on college campuses on our College Tour throughout the country with similar style conventions which expand our Student Leagues to not only K-12th, but to include undergraduate college students. This will bring our Amateur League into divisions which gives everyone the chance to become an IGL Professional Competitor!
