Summer Camp Summary

Going into our 8th year of hosting Summer Camp we strive on improvement every year!

“With an immersive gaming and technology experience you can’t get anywhere else, we make learning fun!”

Not only will we cover our standard curriculum (see below), but this summer’s campers will also now have the opportunity to participate and compete in our major anual gaming convention produced by the Independent Gaming League, where students will be able to meet and chat with employees from top companies within the Video Game & Technology industries right here in New Orleans.

The Digital Arts & Technology Academy: Gaming and Technology Summer Camp is open to students from 4th-12th grade.

Available Sessions (selected during check out):

  • Week 1: June 3rd- 7th

  • Week 2: June 10-14th

  • Week 3: June 17th – 21st

  • Week 4: June 24th- 28th

  • Week 5: July 1st – 5th No camp on July 4th

  • Week 6: July 8th – 12th

  • Week 7: July 15th – 19th

  • Week 8: July 22 – 26th

  • Week 9: July 29th- August 2nd

  • Week 10 August 5th – 9th

Students will have the opportunity to learn about:

  • Game Development

  • Animation

  • Graphic Design

  • Video Production

  • Music Production

  • Live Streaming

  • Coding

Other Information:

  • All Registration Fees must be paid online

  • Price includes Lunch, Camp T-Shirt, poster printing & (student creations), admission to IGL summer Convention, and application fee

  • Campers are not required to bring a computer or other hardware but are free to do so

  • Campers will have access to Loyola’s Apple Computer lab when applicable

  • Camp is from 9:00am – 4:00pm Mon. thru Friday each week

  • Campers must be picked up by 5:00pm

  • Lunch options are included on campus though campers may bring their own
